Back to Eddie.
His performance was amazing!! He does this thing when he loses his train of thought. He bounces around, much like he's jumping on hot coals, and says, "So yeah." Apparently that's where I get it from. He wasn't in full on drag tonight, but we decided he was wearing women's jeans. And we was rocking out some sort of eye makeup. I made up for his lack of makeup as I had on an obscene amount of black eyeliner. I think there should be some sort of Eddie Izzard etiquette/rulebook. You see him, you wear lots of makeup. Ooh, and he had on this amazing...long tailed pianist (giggle) coat that was freakin' awesome.
He had a few reoccurring jokes. Whut? and Stavros (just mentioning the name, because for some reason it's really funny when he says it). He also told this amazing joke about being an assassin who, instead of assembling a gun, assembled a table. Imagine his surprise when he realized that he had grabbed the wrong briefcase. Instead of packing his assassin kit, he packed his picnic kit....he does eventually whack the target with his table, but it is considerably much less effective than the gun would have been. Even as I'm writing the summation, it doesn't seem like I'm doing the story justice. I wish I could incorporate facial features and body language. And an English accent. That pretty much makes everything better.

and ps- i'd say approximately 80% of high school students suck, so good for you :)
he's going to be in chicago for a few days...i think at the end of the month. maybe they still have tickets?
Welcome to my world from Karmina - with a bowl of fruit on my head....I've been a hugh fan since 2000....followed him everywhere my saved up pennies would allow....when he was just making it but not really big....he still drew the crowds but many didn't know of him...I'm very happy that he finally made it.....I've loved him since day one...there are many of us out there. I bumped in to him in NYC...I was walking up Broadway and he was coming out of a restaurant (by himself - yahoo)...had a brief chat and he let me take a couple of pics...saw his show 3 times while I was there..I was in heaven. Looking forward to Chicago & Minneapolis..sigh....
glad you had a good time!!!

Saw him at the Taft - pic on my blog if you're curious ...
He was amazing. he did the assassin bit in Cin City too.
I was in Indianapolis as well - second row! I too have a lovely photo of the Eddie Izzard/Pike High School marquee. What a crack-up to have both of those on one marquee - surreal! It was indeed a fabulous show - a really good time. My three photos from after the show are across the top row here: http://www.auntiemomo.com/cakeordeath/gallery/fanstripped?page=3
(including the two with my 11-year-old in the blue jacket - he gave Eddie a drawing)
